I explore the relationship between the body and the land to challenge the concept of land ownership in the Digital Age. My process involves documenting and recreating artwork through walking and motion tracking, often using my smartphone in both remote and urban areas. The “Golden Routes” are records of time in space—sometimes visualizations of the time spent creating an object in the studio from walking maps, or documentation of a performative act. These shapes are sometimes cut out of wood or gilded clay. I craft these imaginary forms as if they are new places—sometimes representing imaginary spaces as living environments or addressing labor by visualizing the time spent in the studio.
